25 Week Appointment

Just an up date on our 25 week appointment...

Well, Kade and Kynlee are doing just fine. Unfortunately they are both breech now....Kynlee flipped! Oh well, they still have time to both flip back over. They are very active and constantly move around (or it could have been the Chi Tea I had in the waiting room ;). Kynlee was all over the place...she had her feet up by her head and then her feet over in her brother's back and her arms never left her face! I think that she is going to need some mittens when she comes out! She was much more active then I thought! Kade kept hiding his face behind something and he kept his legs all curled up under neath him. The technicians tried 2 times to do a 4D image...but they were not quite in the right position. Bummer...but oh well they said that they would try again next time.

As of right now Kade is 1 lbs 12 oz and Kynlee is 1 lbs 7 oz. Kynlee is right on target for my due date, but Kade is actually measuring about 1 week ahead of schedule...so he is measuring at 26 weeks. They are growing above average......So much for having little babies;)

All in all things are going well with the babies. I am doing okay...besides my feet swelling into cankles, and the uterine tightening. My blood pressure is normal (actually low) so the doctor just says that the swelling is normal for twins...Yippy! The doctor also wants me to start monitoring the uterine contractions to figure out how many I have in an hour....who knows, I really can't keep track!

Oh yeah, I seem to to always forget to mention Pat...HAHA. He is doing great...no swelling, or contractions that I know of. He is busy working and loving his job!

Well that's it for this update...The next big task is the babies' room and all of my showers. I will keep y'all posted.

Christmas in Austin 2009

Merry Christmas!

Hey Everyone!

Pat and I just got home from a wonderful weekend up in Austin at my parent's house for Christmas. We had a great time with my dad's family on Christmas Eve; eating, drinking (well, not me!), opening gifts and playing dice (Put'n'Take). We had a blast hanging out with family that we don't get to see very often...we really do miss everyone!

On Christmas Day we all woke up early and dove into the gifts! Pat and I were not expecting anything, since everything goes towards the babies now; however Santa was very generous to us! I think he was giving us our "last real" Christmas. Later that morning, Pat's parents drove up to my parent's house in Austin. We all exchanged gifts and ate a late lunch with my parents and aunt and uncle. It was a great, relaxing day.

We used the rest of the weekend shopping (taking things back), and finishing my baby registry at Babies R Us. The mall was not very crowded and the lines were not bad at all. However, finishing my registry was a bit over whelming...All of the decisions...Do I really need all of this crap?...Do I really need 2 of everything? ETC! Well I did the best that I could and after almost 3.5 hours in that store I was exhausted and totally over it! I needed a drink :) So needless to say the Babies R Us registry is pretty much done and as you may have noticed I have also started a list of links at the top right corner of the page of other items I may need (want) that Babies R Us does not have.

All in all our Christmas awesome and we are ready to ring in the new year....The Year of Babies!

Below are pictures of our weekend.....

Belly up date...24.5 weeks

The next few pictures are of my Aunt Kathy's house. Every year she goes all out and this year's main theme was UT Football.

Pat got me a cooking apron for Christmas. The week before I had been cooking baked goods for all of his accounts )clients) and some of our friends. I had melted chocolate, dough, and who knows what else all over me...He thought I definitely needed an apron! I love IT!

My mom and Dad in their new grandparent shirts!

Jenni and her new Christmas football!

Yep and within 24 hours.....she finally popped i! Little toot.

Exhausted!

Jenni loves to play in my parents 2 acre backyard and creek!!!

Let Christmas Begin!

Another Update!

So this past weekend was a big one for us!! We were so busy but had tons of fun...

To start, on Thursday Pat was on his way to meet Billy to go hunting for the afternoon and pulled over at a car dealership in Boerne. There he came across a great a deal on a suburban for me and the kiddos! We traded in my Nissan Murano on Friday and needless to say I am now the owner of a suburban...aka the official MOM-Mobile. It rides like a Cadillac and it is surprisingly easy for me to drive...(lets not talk about reversing and parking yet, hehe!)

We also hosted our 1st Annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. We invited our neightbors and friends over to ring in the Christmas season and watch the Big 12 champoinship. Everyone looked "great" in their ugly Christmas gear and the offical winner of the contest was...CASEY! (see pic).
We also had a quick white elephant gift exchange during half time of the UT game. Thanks goodness the Horns barely pulled it out...or it would have been a bad ending to a wounderful night :)

On Sunday afternoon we met Erica and Cooper (her weimaraner) at PetsMart to take pictures with Santa. Copper was so excited to see Jenni and Santa! Our pictures turned out pretty good though!!

Christmas is just around the corner and we are so excited....just not looking forward to all of the shopping :) And after Christmas... let the baby showers begin! I am so ready and excited to get things organized for the babies! For those of you who are wondering...I have decided that I am going to register the babies at Babies-R-Us for sure, possibly USA Baby in Austin and then start a list of on-line links for some of the things that these stores don't carry. I really don't know everything that I want or need as of now, but I can post this list on my blog once it is established!
Happy Christmas shopping to all!

Thanksgiving in Washington DC

Hey There!
Pat and I had a wonderful time in Washington DC visiting Liz and Brian. We relaxed on Thanksgiving Day and did what most of America did...cooked, ate tons of food and watched football. That UT/ATM game had us all rawled up!

We slept in each day and of course we did some great shopping in Georgetown and Old Town, Alexandria. It was funny to see how Liz and I's choice of stores changed from trendy clothing stores to Baby Boutiques.

We ate many yummy restaurants and for the Highlight...Liz and Brain took us all to the Jersey Boys for our early Christmas present. We had a great time learning about the story of Frankie Valli and Four Seasons. It is amazing how music has changed.

Although we missed Jenni tremendously she had great time at my parent's house playing in the big open yard and creek. I think that they really bonded with her and even got a little attached.

Here are a few of our pictures from the weekend. (After the belly update :)

Talk to Y'all Soon...Angel
