So the twins are home and getting settled. I say getting settled because every day is so different. Just as soon as I t
hink we have a good system/routine down someone changes their minds, sleep habits or willingness to nurse effectively. So we just take things day-by-day and enjoy every minute of it...whether it is calm and collected or total
chaos and
mayhem. Ha!
Overall the twins are doing great and growing/gaining weight
just as they should be.
Kade is now 6 lbs 8 oz and
Kynlee is 5 lbs 2 oz. Jenni is
also doing great...she gets concerned when someone cries and checks in on them often. She is being good big sister. We have worked
really hard to keep everything the same for her..2 walks a day, sleeping in bed with us and keeping her involved with all of the family activities!
My mom has been coming down often to help with all of the chores, babies and just keeping me company. She is awesome with the babies and
with me! She knows me well and knows how to keep me calm and collected. She is such great help...she does most of the night feedings when she is here, which allows Pat and I to get some sleep. (Although I do still have to wake up to "pump" during at least one of the night feedings). Pats dad is also acting as one of our "night nannies" on Thursday nights so that Pat and I can get a mid week refresher. Thank you to our family and all of your help!
Other family news... Liz (my sister in-all) is due to have her baby anytime now. She is having a boy and although she is not due until the 26
th...he is a big boy (
sitting around 9 lbs) and she is about to pop! So we are expecting him
any day/hour!
Yay for more babies and we are praying that mom and baby have a safe and healthy delivery.
