Work and Austin Shower and 33 Week Doctors Appointments

Well as you all know the big day is really starting to sneak up on us....well not really sneaking, but it is starting to get really close.

This past weekend was awesome for Pat and I. It started with a wonderful shower at my work on Friday afternoon with all of my co-workers. We received lots of great gifts and cute clothes and not to mention my new diaper bag!! I am so excited to start packing it for the hospital!! Thank You everyone at work for such a great shower!

After work on Friday I headed up to Austin to meet up with Pat. Pat was already in Austin because he had a big medical sales accreditation exam!! He passed and he is now AMS (Accredited in Medical Sales) certified. We also had a great shower at my parent's house on Saturday, which was hosted by my aunt and mother. My whole family was there (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, family friends, etc). Pat and I had a great time seeing everyone and catching up!...not to mention we greatly appreciate all of the generous gifts. We are so blessed to have such great family. Thank You and we love all of you!

At my parent's house we finally received the bedding for the cribs!!! My aunt picked out all of the material and designed the layout of the bumpers and my mom sewed it all together. Who knew my mom could sew that well...I was so impressed. She could really make some side money sewing bumper pads ;) Below are the pics of us opening the bedding and it all laid out on the ground the way that it will eventually be in their cribs. (no...we still don't have furniture yet:)

While we were up in Austin we took some "maternity" pictures down by the creek in my parent's backyard. We took about a million pictures, but these are some of the best ones!

33 Week Doctor's Appointments
Today we had a morning loaded with doctor's appointments. Everything is going well and the babies are still nice and snug!...meaning that my cervix is not thinning or funneling. I was hooked up to the NST (non-stress test) monitor twice this morning and their heart rates are looking good. No one, including me are in any distress and I am not having any true contractions. The babies have dropped a little and both of their heads are still down and in the "ready" position. Kade is weighing in at 4 lbs 11 ounces and Kynlee is 3 lbs 11 ounces. Doctor McFarland (the perinatal specialist) is a little worried about Kynlee's growth, but I go back next week for more monitoring and a BPP or biophysical profile (like a sonogram, but it looks closer at their growth, movments, muscle tone, ect).
I don't have any good sonogram pics to post;( They can't get a good pic of their heads/faces because they are too low and squished....not to mention they seem to be "over" getting me good pics and they are more concerned about the important things like their growth and the functioning of their organs....who would have thought ;)
We are still looking at the end of March...around 37 weeks! Doctor McFarland said that would be my full term as of now. There is a chance that they could be delivered earlier if Kynlee's growth stops/slows down any more. But I am staying positive and planning on the best case scenario...37 weeks it is! As far as my cankles (well really my one L cankle) the doctors just said that I will just have to deal with it until the babies come. Oh well...I will be just fine!
Overall the big day is approaching and we are getting excited! Stay tooned for more weekly updates as things begin to unfold!
